Energy Tech Solutions, LLC is the recipient of the State of Wisconsin Governor's Procurement Award for 2011 Federal Contractor of the Year - New Federal Contractor.  Presented by Governor Scott Walker, these awards recognize state firms that have not only shown significant growth in federal sales, but are recognized as outstanding suppliers to the federal government.

"In fiscal year 2010, Wisconsin companies won over $10 billion in federal awards which placed the state at 16th in the federal contract award ranking.  This is a significant change from 10 years ago when Wisconsin ranked 42nd in federal sales.  These dollars are bringing significant economic success to our state," commented Aina Vilumsons, Executive Director fo the Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI) and host of the Annual Governor's Procurement Awards Dinner.

Energy Tech Solutions, LLC, based in Madison, Wisconsin, was founded in 2005 on the concept of creating a comprehensive, single source, LED lighting solution. Focusing on LED Lighting products that are manufactured in the United States or a NAFTA compliant country, they have had much success in working with a wide variety of federal entities and prime contractors such as several municiplities, USDA Forest Service, NASA, Sandia National Laboratories (a DOE laboratory), Navy, Department of State, Department of Defense, and several of the top electrical distributors in the country.  Regardless of the challenges that small business face in today's economy, Energy Tech Solutions, LLC has managed to consistently grow their gross sales and product offerings each year since inception and attract the attention of new clients every day.

Other recipients honored with the Governor's Award include Federal Contractor of the Year - 2011 Large Federal Contractor awarded to Marinette Marine Corporation (MMC), Marinette, WI, and Federal Contractor of the Year - 2011 Small Federal Contractor awarded to TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Controls, Inc.) Brown Deer, WI.
