Energy Tech Solutions, LLC in partnership with Retrofit Systems Technologies, light the exterior of the tallest building in the heart of the Orlando skyline.  LED lighting, supplied by Energy Tech Solutions and installed by Retrofit, not only saves the building energy but ultimately redefines the Orlando’s skyline.

The ultimate goal of this project was to cut the overall costs related to running the exterior lights at night. Randy Teague, owner of Retrofit Systems Technologies, said “City Officials became involved in the project because the building was not turning on its lights at night. The problem was the overall cost of running the exterior lights. Due to the cost savings after installation of the new, exterior LED lights,  this building now shines brightly in the heart of the skyline.”

The total energy draw of the exterior lights once converted to LED is 11,000 watts down from 101,200 watts with the old technology. That is a an energy savings of over 90,000 watts.

Rob Everhart, LED lighting consultant for Energy Tech Solutions, LLC and LEED accredited professional, said that he could not have been more pleased with the installation of the exterior LED lights: “What they will see is a return on investment; the LED lights will pay for themselves with saved energy costs over the next 3 to 5 years. I cannot stress enough how much of a positive impact this energy efficient technology will have in the near future. The difference between the building’s exterior lighting before and after is incredible.”

This conversion not only reduced the overall energy costs related to running the lights but increased the color quality and brightness of each light as well.  The color clarity offered by this LED installation now shows the true color of the buildings' exterior especially the turrets on top of the building which are a green patina color.
